Dr. Burak TURGUT received his education on Medicine in Firat University, Faculty of Medicine, in Elazig, Turkey between 1989-1995 years. He completed his residency training on ophthalmology in Department of Ophthalmology at Firat University, Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He worked as an ophthalmologist in Ophthalmology Clinic of Elazig State Hospital between 2002 and 2006 years. He entered to the Department of Ophthalmology at Firat University as a teaching staff at the position of Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology in 2006. He worked on optical coherence tomography, fundus angiography, medical retina and vitreoretinal surgery with Prof. Dr. Murat Karacorlu in Istanbul Retina Institute for a time in 2007. He deserved the Associate Professorship in 2012 upon passing the examination for Associate Professorship in Turkey. He worked in the Department of Ophthalmology at Firat University, Faculty of Medicine between years of 2006 and 2017. Dr. Burak TURGUT deserved degree of full professorship and was appointed as a teaching staff in Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, Ankara Yuksek Ihtisas University in 2017 year. Prof.Dr.Burak Turgut is currently a teaching member in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University since September 2018. He is a member of Turkish Ophthalmological Society and an editorial board member of several ophthalmology journals. Dr. Burak TURGUT has over 180 publications in various peer-reviewed journals on ophthalmology.
